Altiplano Inc. announces the collaboration with Waste Weavers project of Jabailito Solola. Altiplano will provide importing and marketing of Waste Weavers 2007-08 accessory line.
Altiplano Inc., based in Brattleboro, Vermont, USA, designs and imports handmade fashion accessories and jewelry from Guatemala. With over 15 years experience working with fair trade and ecological projects of Guatemala, Waste Weavers is a natural partner in the promotion of ecologically sustainable projects and fair trade practices in Guatemala. Altiplano will provide broad penetration into the North American and Caribbean markets for Waste Weaver products. According to Waste Weaver project founder Natalie Verwilghen, Waste Weaver project has 260 weavers of recycled snack wrappers prepared to produce for the international marketplace, and now, with the help of Altiplano, is the right time to expand sales to the large North American market.
